After the patriarch of this family took this picture, he thought it would make a good holiday card. We completed the family by taking his image from another photo and putting it right next to his wife.

Color photographs are made up of Red, Green and Blue pigments combined at varying ratios to create all colors. In this 60-year-old Kodachrome, the green channel had deteriorated so much there was no shadow detail at all. Adjusting the tonal range of individual channels can save most photos, but it was not enough for this one, so we recreated the Green channel as a combination of the Red and Blue. This is a process akin to hand coloring black and white photos, but with much more realistic results.

This soccer team was missing a few people on photo day. We copied them over from an earlier picture and even gave them copies of the ribbon and medal.
